Sierra Media Strategies is a public relations & public affairs agency in Sparks, NV that is here to push organizations to new heights.  As a company, we understand, that for business owners, non-profit executives, and community leaders, success is built

About the Founder…

Eduardo Martinez is a strategically-minded professional with 8 years of experience in the Strategic Communications & Public Policy arena.

At Sierra Media Strategies, he has helped guide organizations and enabled them to increase awareness of who they are and what they’re trying to achieve. Whether its representing his clients interests in the halls of the Nevada legislature or engaging with the media he prioritizes the goals you’re trying to achieve.

This mission-focused approach was developed as a Marine while serving in Okinawa, Japan, and Afghanistan. At the end of his service, he attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and began his professional career in the Reno office of U.S. Senator Dean Heller. While there his portfolio as a Regional Representative included Immigration, the Department of Defense, the Veterans Affairs Administration, and engagement with the northern Nevada Hispanic community with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. As a result of his work, he was recognized in the Nevada Latin Chamber’s Influencers Magazine in December 2018.

From there, he would go on to work his first legislative session with the Associated General Contractors (Northern Nevada Chapter), and afterward transitioned to working with the Nevada Department of Veteran Services (NDVS). At NDVS, he rose to be the Assistant Director of Communications helping to support the agency’s response to COVID-19, community re-engagement, and revamping of the agency’s communications model. This experience led him to both launch Sierra Media Strategies and apply to graduate school in 2021 to refine his skills and expertise. In May 2024, he earned his Masters in Strategic Marketing & Communications from Fordham University.

In his 8 years of experience, he has provided critical insights to help organizations:

  • Successfully defend against and pass legislation;
  • Develop strategic plans that engage target audiences through diversified communication channels.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders in support of strategic organizational objectives;
  • Plan, Coordinate, and Publicize Events – Digital and In-Person;
  • Manage their Social Media Platforms –  Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram
  • Understand their website, social media, and community outreach data and translate it into actionable reports.
